COVID CAUSES CANCELLATION OF THE 2022 HANK SNOW TRIBUTE
The Board of the Friends of Hank Snow Society have made the decision to cancel the 2022 Hank Snow Tribute again. This will be the third year in a row the Hank Snow Tribute has been cancelled. The Board is hopeful that the 30th. Hank Snow Tribute will be held in August, 2023. Carroll Baker who was to be the featured artist has kindly consented to consider appearing at the 2023 Tribute. The Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame has been notified that the Tribute was cancelled and it is hoped that they will also be willing to consider being featured at the 2023 Tribute.
The Board of Directors apologize for any inconvenience this causes folks; however, with the majority of attendees from out of town and with the uncertain closure of border crossings from province to province and from outside of the country, the need to cancel became paramount.
If the regulations allow for outdoor gatherings, a Mini Tribute will be held in August and possibly another in July. More details will follow regarding these Mini Tributes. If you have an RV, we plan to hold the August Mini Tribute the weekend of the regular Tribute which will be August 19 and 20, 2022. If we are able to hold one in July it will be held either the weekend of July 15 or 22. A decision regarding the July possibility will be posted asap.
The Wednesday noon hour BBQ and Shows again will be held at the Gaven Whynot Gazebo area beginning late June through to early September, 2022.
