COME TO THE 32ND HANK SNOW TRIBUTE FESTIVAL AUGUST 15-18, 2024 …….

HERE ARE SOME OF THE FANTASTIC MUSICAL PERFORMANCES BY TALENTED HEADLINERS. THERE WILL BE  MORE  PERFORMANCES EVERY DAY BY YOUR FAVOURITE MUSICANS AND ALSO WE ARE BRINGING SOME NEW FACES TO OUR STAGE FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT !!!!

THURSDAY NIGHT HEADLINERS:            NS COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAMERS will open the Tribute and will include talented artists beginning at 6 pm:  Dale Verge (has attended every Tribute festival & has performed with his distinct style all over NS for over 60 years),  Dave Coggins (singer/songwriter and front man for Bonded Stock for over 50 years) , Sheila Newman (talented singer & dobro player who has a warm stage presence), Kimberley Holmes (young talented award winning fiddle player and instructor of piano & fiddle) and Jamie Cotter (Shelburne native who has performed with 6 tours overseas as well as all over Canada).   These fantastic and talented Hall of Famers are joined in  this night of fantastic country music by  young artist LUCAS WHITEHEAD who will open for headliner  JOYCE SEAMONE AND TOTAL COUNTRY.  Joyce will include her # 1 hit Testing 1,2,3 along with other well known hits she has recorded over the years. Joyce is always a crowd favourite and has been at every Tribute Festival since it’s inception.  She has volunteered for the Friends of Hank Snow Society for many years including as Stage Manager extraordinaire.

FRIDAY NIGHT HEADLINERS:                    NAOMI BRISTOW comes back to Queens Place Emera Centre where she performed the first year the Tribute moved to Liverpool.  She has been performing all over Canada and the USA for many years and is a fan favourite.   NICHOLAS LANGILLE an upcoming new young artist will open for Headliner  RUTH MANNING & THE PROSPECTORS.  Ruth is an award winning Singer/Songwriter who has performed on stage for many Tribute Festivals as well as touring around Nova Scotia at many Festivals and events.   She has sung to audiences in Nashville and continues to write fantastic country and gospel songs.

SATURDAY NIGHT HEADLINER & CLOSING ACT:    Young artists who have been crowd pleasers for many shows over the past year will be the opening acts for the Saturday night Headliner.   TYLER SALSMAN AND THE JOVIAL JOES will open for the exciting Headliner who was scheduled to appear a few years ago but Covid prevented that from happening.  Well, this year we are pleased to announce with anticipation our Headliner, Canada’s First Lady of Country Music,  CARROLL BAKER with her band BAKER STREET.    Among her many accolades, Carroll has received the Order of Canada, was inducted to the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame,  The NS Country Music Hall of Fame,  awarded the Juno Awards, had 12 # 1 hits, charted 31 songs and was the host of CBC TV program Carroll Baker’s Jamboree and won the C.F. Martin Humanitarian Award.   We are so honoured that Carroll has chosen our Festival to perform her final concert before she begins her Final Tour.   The Closing Act for Saturday night will be SOUTHERN BREEZE with RAY LEGERE and BERNIE LEBLANC from New Brunswick.  They were here last year and to the audiences delight will be with us again this year.

SUNDAY HEADLINER:  Following a full day of performances by varied and talented musical acts,  local Singer/Songwriter and young artist AUTUMN CARVER  well known to our audiences will be the opening act. for today’s headliner.     THE RHINESTONE ROMEOS will  be the Sunday headliner and close the Festival with their fantastic vocal and musical renditions of country songs.  Members of the band include vocalist Bill Mac and band members, Jeff Tooker, Paul Purcell, Jamie Alcorn and John Johnson Jr.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, mornings and afternoons we will showcase many talented musicians of all ages including many familiar faces as well as some new talented performers plus this year we have the  Open Mic!

Hank Snow Society will provide a full-service Canteen onsite in the lobby complete with some tasty meals and even breakfast!
