Nobody's Child... I use to sing the chorus as a child. I still sing it in my head now and then. I have not heard it since childhood, so I didn't know all the words till today, I'm now 46. I was not an orphan, I had a home, with two parents of my very own. When mom took out the belt or sticks or spoon. I was nobody's child too. When Dad left my face bloody for childish things that I done. I was best to be nobody's child alone on the run. Listening to music that makes me understand, there's other children hurting.
