Clarence [ Hank ] was a singer with a very rich voice and style to boot.I am now 77 yrs.old, but I can remember babysitting young Jimmy so the show could go on in the Sioux Lookout Hotel in July of 1951. I was too young to get in the hotel to watch him,but for babysitting he gave me a 78 RPM called Little Buddy for my efforts. I kept that and cherished it,and left it with my girlfriend when I went to the War in Korea, There was no girlfriend or record left when I returned home to Manitoba.Perhaps Jimmy would remember me,as I was working in the "Sioux" in '51 for the CNR Extra Gang and was at loose ends, which nearly saw me achieve my life long ambition of being a Steam Engineer for the CN and in fact completed two supervised runs on the Branch line and the South line from Shebandowan,Ont.I later memorized and sang most of Hanks songs but could never get the hang of a Guitar, Had to settle for the FiddleHank's songs when heard still sends shivers up my back, like a lot of other folks I know from his era. Best Regards to a great site and keep it up. Bob Ducharme.
