I idolize Hank Snow. There isn't much I don't know about him. I,too, came from a troubled childhood due to abuse at home so I can readily relate to Hank. I have only seen him in person once and it is a highlight of my life. I spent 22 years in the U.S. military and my extensive collection of Hank's records (on 45 RPM's) saw me through thick and thin.I also donated a home made movie film of him and Ernest Tubb when they appeared in Lewiston, Me.many years ago. In 2004 my wife and I visited the Hank Snow Music Center where I donated my entire collection of records to the Center. I already know all the words of just about every song he ever sang and I wanted others to experience a great singer. He brought me religion through his songs. He was just like a minister to me. He taught me the pitfalls of life and the joy that could be realized with his magnificent singing. I am nearly 79 and I still get melancholy and the tears can still easily fall when I hear his songs. We lost a great performer when he left us.
