I have an entry a couple of post back but felt I could add some more. I saw Hank at Opry Land in Nashville ,Tn. He also brought a show to my hometown, Decatur, Al. promoting his fund raising for abused children. I still listen to Hank on the internet a lot. My favorite is "I Don't Hurt Anymore" along with "Fool such as I", "Moving On", and others. I have requested "These Hands" to be played at my funeral. My life has mirrored the words of that song so much. My hands are also callused and old, but I have provided for my family for 69 years. I will be 86 yrs old in 3 months. Loved Hank and his music since I was 15 yrs old. Hope to visit his grave site maybe this summer.
Our hero would have been 110 today. I have noticed a growing number of fans on the internet.
Anyone know how I could obtain a copy , of The Hank Snow Story ??? The museum is out of stock , and so is Amazon .
Wonderful little museum staff was really knowledgeable thank you Asam for the tour, the camp site next door is a delight also can't beat the price, Liverpool is a lovely town
On May 9 th, 1994, on Hank Snow's 80th birthday, I made a 2 hour program on him on Danish Radio. Today on Hank's 109th birthday I listened to the program again. It shows my boundless admiration for his unequalled art, which has remained intact till this very day. The first number by Hank was The Prisoned Cowboy, Hank's very first recording. The last number was the very telling I'm Still Movin' On.
The first number , though, was Moonlight and Skies by Jimmie Rodgers, the number which started Hank movin' on.
Loved Hank when I was 15 yrs old to the present. When I don't hurt anymore came out I loved it.At a neighborhood drive in cafe they had the music boxes in each booth.5 cents each song or 6 plays for quarter.I played all 6 for I don't hurt anymore.Soon I heard someone say something about someone getting over a girl friend.I didn't even have a girl friend then. Thanks to you tube we can still listen to Hank.Saw him a couple of times in person. Still love Hank Snow.
I loved Hank Snow. He reminded me of Snow, and Hank from King of the Hill. The colonel did him wrong! He was just as good as Elvis.
Truly a gentleman and very genuine. He had rich voice; it was a wonderful gift. He was truly a strong and courageous soul too. May forever have peace.
Hello
I'm just browsing your site . I found it when I looked up Hank Snow on Google. In the late 40's my mom & dad went to a Hank Snow dance in Dt John's NL. When they were there Hank Snow introduced them. That was the first time they met. This is a piece of history for me & my family. Thanks to Hank as I wouldn't be here now if he didn't get them together!
Hank Snow sang Country Western songs, Cowboy songs, Folk Music, songs you could dance to, cry with, laugh with and always remember. My favorite is Fool Such As I. The first song I ever learned to play and sing was Little Buddy. the second was Put My Little Shoes Away. I often play them in my shows. RIP Hank, you were one of the best. RIDE EASY PARD.....Vic
The greatest country singer ever would have been 107 today.
Many great years of listening pleasure thanks for the memories Hank, RIP. My mother's favorite artist, I can't remember a day coming home from Elementary school for lunch, when Hank wasn't on the record player.

As a boy, I used to listen to Hank Snow and one of my favorite songs is I've Been Everywhere. I always admired him as a great country singer.
Hank Snow was a real man who had real talent who played and sang real country music. I cannot put it any plainer.
This is from my youtube channel.....Song Mother...
This song has deep meaning for me. My Dad used to play it for his mom since the time I was born. He passed away in the early 70's and the song was stuck in my head although I could never find out where it came from. Enter the internet many decades later and I discovered it was written by Hank Snow, a true Canadian Legend. It's really a song about loving and honouring your mother and about not waiting until it's too late...... Especially pertinent during Covid times and with the sad deaths happening at care homes.... This is to my maritime friends especially.
Please accept apologies for slight modificaton of lyrics...I hope Hank would approve.

Hey everyone, I'm a 23 year old from ol Nova Scotia.
I taught myself some of his songs. Fool Such As I, is my favorite to play.
Been listening to Hank for a good chunk of my life, and found out I am related to Hank somewhat.
Someone in my family married into his in Digby or Liverpool (always been a little unsure), back in the 40's. I saw a family tree somewhere once I was shown, and been trying to find it since.
Listening to "Hank sings Jimmie Rodgers songs" - one of my favorites. Also his guitar playing albums with Chet are wonderful - great artist and what a life! Thanks Hank!
