The greatest country singer ever would have been 107 today.
Many great years of listening pleasure thanks for the memories Hank, RIP. My mother's favorite artist, I can't remember a day coming home from Elementary school for lunch, when Hank wasn't on the record player.
for many years i have sang some of the same songs that Hank Snow sung and my mother and her family actually knew Hank when he would visit the Yarmouth area he knew my Mother and my Aunts he used to sit and play his guitar and sing everyone like Hank........Wilf Saulnier
Have been listening to Hank's music for over 65 years . Love his picking on MY NOVA SCOTIA HOME , and THE WISHING WELL SONG . Hank's Gospel album GLORYLAND MARCH is # 1 . Some day soon , I will make it to Liverpool NS , before I MOVE ON !
As a boy, I used to listen to Hank Snow and one of my favorite songs is I've Been Everywhere. I always admired him as a great country singer.
Hank Snow was a real man who had real talent who played and sang real country music. I cannot put it any plainer.
This is from my youtube channel.....Song Mother... This song has deep meaning for me. My Dad used to play it for his mom since the time I was born. He passed away in the early 70's and the song was stuck in my head although I could never find out where it came from. Enter the internet many decades later and I discovered it was written by Hank Snow, a true Canadian Legend. It's really a song about loving and honouring your mother and about not waiting until it's too late...... Especially pertinent during Covid times and with the sad deaths happening at care homes.... This is to my maritime friends especially. Please accept apologies for slight modificaton of lyrics...I hope Hank would approve.
hi folks my name is Wilfred saulnier and my mother knew hank snow when he was a very young man he used to visit her home and family and one said this voice will be something some day see how positive he was and look what he did now everyone knows his name ., were very proud of hanks achievements ......Wilf Saulnier
Hey everyone, I'm a 23 year old from ol Nova Scotia. I taught myself some of his songs. Fool Such As I, is my favorite to play. Been listening to Hank for a good chunk of my life, and found out I am related to Hank somewhat. Someone in my family married into his in Digby or Liverpool (always been a little unsure), back in the 40's. I saw a family tree somewhere once I was shown, and been trying to find it since.
Listening to "Hank sings Jimmie Rodgers songs" - one of my favorites. Also his guitar playing albums with Chet are wonderful - great artist and what a life! Thanks Hank!
Really enjoyed the show this year ,especially Jeff Tooker, and Tony True,Gordie Giles
Hank would have been 104 today. Remember his wonderful album #104? Still movin' on!
ive been a hank snow fan for sixty five years, he,has been my favorite singer all that time.god rest you hank ,
We visited his wonderful museum in 2011,what a great place to remember a great Canadian country entertainer. Would love to go back.
I am a big fan of Hank Snow since i was a kid
Hank Snow is one of the greatest. He’s a great songwriter and one of the best singers of all time..,,would like to visit Nova Scotia someday and see and hear his early early songs from his early years there. We all have “his hits†but many of his songs were so much better than “ the Country†“songs†now.
I'm a life-long Hank Snow fan. I got to see & meet him in 1976 at a show in New Paltz, NY. What a great entertainer. I also got to have a picture taken with him that day, which I have hanging proudly in my living room. Over the years, I have collected literally hundreds of his recordings in all formats. He was one of my all time favorites (next to Jimmie Rodgers), and forever will be. God Bless you Hank. R.I.P.
I am the youngest son of Kayton Roberts, Hank's long time steel guitar player. Would ask for prayers as dad has had a third stroke and now in hospice care in Nashville. He has been unconscious since Sunday and not expected to make it through this week. Thank you to all the fans
Today on Hank Snow's 103rd birthday I listened to his voice on the album "This Is My Story". Brings back wonderful memories. There never was a singer or a guitar plaer like him, never will be!
The first record my dad ever bought me when I was 3 years old was PAVING THE HIGHWAY WITH TEARS. I immediately fell in love with Hank Snow and have been one of his most faithful fans ever since. We have recorded one of Hank's songs. He is my favourite singer to this day. I have seen him perform many times. I rally miss him....I wish we could turn back the time.
