NEWS & VIEWS… HANK SNOW HOME TOWN MUSEUM & COUNTRY MUSIC CENTRE

  • Marge Hemsworth-Robertson a long time friend of the Friends of Hank Snow Society is in the hospital in Halifax after a bad fall which resulted in her having surgery and she also has other problems to recover from.  Her husband Doug will keep us up to date about her progress. Marge has been helpful in answering queries about her friends Hank and Min Snow who she knew personally and other Nashville folks she also was friends with.  Marge would welcome any written word of encouragement as she is a person who loves to write letters and receive them.  Our best wishes go to her at this time.

  • Raymond & Debbie Fiske both Board members of the Friends of Hank Snow Society celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on June 8th.  Congratulations to two wonderful supporters of the Hank Snow Home Town Museum.  May they celebrate many more and continue to love one another for many years to come.  Happy Anniversary.

  • Summer Festival is upon us and there is much hustle and bustle going on to get ready for this celebration July 21-23rd.  This Summer Festival 2023 will be  held outdoors at the Gazebo Park area under the tents.  We are hoping to have two successful fundraisers this summer as COVID destroyed our ability to keep the Museum going and without donations from many folks this would have been impossible to do during the past three years.   We hope many will support our festivals and help bring our organization from the abyss and on the path to self sufficiency.    The 31st Tribute Festival will be held on August 17-20 and will be held in the comfort of Queens Place Emera Centre this year.
